About Liana Velasquez, OTR/L

Liana moved to Lander, WY from New Mexico with a passion for outdoor activities. Her goal is to promote increased health and wellness treatment options to the communities throughout Wyoming.

In 2014 Liana obtained her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She continued to enhance her education and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2019.

As an Occupational Therapist, Liana has focused on quality care and rehab for the upper extremities. Liana has a passion for treating with a biomechanical approach with increased mindfulness to emphasize psychosocial aspects of healing to promote holistic mind-body wellness. Liana began practicing the total body approach, Fascial Counterstrain (FCS) roughly 2 years ago. Liana found that use of FCS manual therapy techniques and use of other alternative intervention approaches have been able to address and treat patients with a diverse range of diagnoses with results that continue to amaze patients and doctors who have had difficulty finding appropriate treatment methods.
